So I figure since we are helping motivate each other through exercise I thought it might be fun to motivate each other through eating disasters.

I ate 6 cookies last night.

No, you did not read that wrong. I ate 3 otis spunkmier oatmeal raisin cookies, then my friend baked Pumpkin cookies and I ate 3 of them too!

I figured I would work them out today, but I woke up with to a feverish child, so no gym. I didn't even get dressed today till I had to come to work!

So there, my first confession.

Oh Carrie--6 cookies is nothing. I will no longer make cheesecake (the Jello No-Bake) kind, because I can EASILY eat it in one day. It will start with just 1 slice, then another, then one more before bed... It's terrible. Do you know how many calories and how much fat is in those???

By the way, I too went on a cookie binge yesterday. We were visiting my parent's house and she bought Oreos for the kids. Since we are on a no artificial food dye ban, the kids couldn't have them. Needless to say, the minute the kids hit the backyard, I hit the Oreos. I stopped at 4, but I guess if you consider each cookie is really 2, it brings my total to 8.

Must have been the day for it. My teenage stepson wanted a pizza - the frozen kind which I typically have NO problems staying away from. Three slices later....auugh.

Hubby comes back from being gone all night tonight, so I'm hoping to step up the exercise again. (how's that for a bad pun?!)

Today's another day ladies...I bet we all are able to report back tomorrow that we got back on track! (Another terrible pun!) Have a good one...

I had a few too many desserts at the training I was at this week. I held out until Tues dinner, at the Cheesecake factory. I just can't pass it up. Then Wed I had dessert at lunch and Thurs, too, plus an additional cookie or 2 in the afternoon. This place had gourmet food, all free for us, it was so good. But, I walked this morning and now I'm having a smart ones for lunch, had an apple on the way home, so far so good.

I have been terrible lately. I am sure that carrying Baby #3 has a lot to do with it, but I honestly don't even want a salad. Give me the steak, french fries, ice cream, and peanut butter cups.

>

I have told myself, the girls, and my husband that after this baby gets here and I can exercise, it is weight lose baby.

>
I weigh 50LBS more than I did in high school and college and that is not acceptable.

My husband is a stick. I don't have the luxury of a great matabolism. I see something and gain weight.

>

My goal is 40 LBS from pre baby weight so wow that will probably be like 70 from baby weight.
I think I am depressed just thinking about it. I think I will go eat some cookies. HA_HA

I made a marble cake with fluffy chocolate frosting for my brother's birthday. I had to eat it so it wouldn't just sit there and taunt me. Let's not even discuss what I like to call "The McDonald's Incident" from yesterday.

Come on Kate..spill about Mcdonalds...must be good if you put the work "incident" after it. Please tell me it involves bigmacs and dr. pepper!

Oh man...I don't know if I can confess this...it's BAD.

But I didn't eat breakfast, and then we went to see the movie and I had a little popcorn and yes, Dr. Pepper. So then my blood sugar started CRASHING and crashing by the time we got to good Old Mickey Ds. I couldn't decided what to get but I was getting really hungry. So yes, I got a Big Mac (although I do sometimes order the Asian Salad). Hugh got one box of fries for everyone. I ate 3/4 of the fries, and then the Big Mac. And then I was still STARVING and shaking a little. Hugh had ordered a double cheeseburger and they accidentally gave him two. They refunded his money and let him keep the sandwich. I ate that too. It did not taste good to me. I was still literally shaking and queasy. I ended up getting an ice cream cone and FINALLY I felt calm and full, but also of course full of gross food. I really hadn't wanted to go to McDs but we promised the kids.

So the moral of the story is, you don't want to eat around me when I'm having a blood sugar freakout. I might rip that sandwich right out of your hands ala Bill Clinton on SNL. "WARLORDS!" (sorry if that doesn't make sense to you...I tend to communicate exclusively in pop culture references. Here's a link to the video on HULU, you just have to watch a commercial first.)

Salads all this week, and water, and vitamins. Pinkie Swear!

Must be the weekend for these types of stories. This was my 15-year-old's (AUUGH, he can't be that old!!!) birthday. What do 15-year-old's want for a celebration? PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA and ice cream cake. What does Mom like? Anything sitting in front of her!!!

And vacation in 5 days. yikes!

That said, I dared to try on a swimsuit today and think I'm taking it with me on vacation. I even plan to get the guts to put it on this year, regardless of what the scales say. My kids don't have any conscious memories of me in a swimsuit...isn't that sad? I've decided now that I've reached a bunch of my goals this year, this is also the year I should get rid of my swimsuit dilemma. Wish me luck!

Do any of the rest of you who are actively working on getting healthier go to extraoridinary lengths to avoid putting on a swimsuit or is it just me?

I probably should, but I just don't. I guess right now I'm just resigned to it. Though ask me again after Thursday when we go to Holiday World!

I do wear a bathing suit with a skirt on it, however. A girlfriend of mine told me there is a company that makes Marilyn Monroe retro styled suits and sells them online for about $60. I want one...that's the kind of thing that makes a full figured gal feel like a woman! Rawr!

Wait a minute, is there a Cheesecake Factory around here that I need to know about?

Ahem. [blush] ANYWAY, all right, my turn. I've been eating a ton of junk lately. Tortilla chips, goldfish crackers (my personal vice), and yesterday I talked hubby into taking the whole fam to Big Top, and brought home $30 worth of junk food for dinner. Fries, ice cream, burgers, etc. I was actually nauseous afterwards.

Now for my lame excuses, LOL. At the beginning of the month, I had surgery for some leftover complications from a hysterectomy. They took out one ovary and tube. So I've been housebound recovering, and my hormones are going insane.

So I've basically been lying on the couch in pajamas for 3 weeks, moody and stuffing my face. I'm almost recovered so I plan to start resuming my normal activities. And hopefully my hormones will sort themselves out, or start craving only iceberg lettuce, or SOMETHING.

Sarah...Hope you are feeling better! Geez. I've had the food bug before from bad food and my heart (and stomach) is with you!

RE: Cheesecake Factory....Ouch! After the ice cream cake yesterday, I can't even think about it! Painful...

So speaking of cheesecake et al: What is the best way you gals have found to get past really bad cravings? I know the whole thing about drink water, exercise instead, etc., but frankly, those haven't been that helpful for me. The water (even lots of it) rarely knocks down the craving/hunger and I have a hard time just up and leaving to exercise given what the kids need me to do.

Thoughts?

My sister and her family and my family and I all went on a camping trip at Kentucky Lake over the weekend. We took so much junk food with us. Lets just say I ate a lot of double stuffed EL Fudge.
