Oh sheesh, I hate that thought. I know I should kick it in to high gear so this isn't a big deal year after year, I just get cold chills when I think about it!!!
It's coming... and there ain't nuthin' I can do to stop it!
Anyone know of a good swim suit that makes you look 19 and no pregnancies again?

I ordered mine from QVC. I love it. It really isn't that sexy suit that you could wear when you were young.....wait....I never could wear one of those. I also had hips. My OBGYN told me that I wold have no problem with Vaginal Deliveries because my hips were large....anyway.

>
It is really good to play with the kids in the pool and not have to worry about losing it. It hooks around the neck and has tummy panels and little short/skirt action going on.

>
I felt comfortable in it on the beach in Florida, but no one knows me there. Here....that is a different subject.

I ordered from Excelnt Designs last year (they have a web site). They custom-make the suits for each order and have sizes from about 4-6 up to plus in one and two piece. Some are cup-sized, such as the tankini I ordered, and I have to say it's the first suit I've had in years that fits my bust and actually supports it! You can order different sizes in the tops and bottoms too. Most of the designs are kind of plain compared to trendy dept. store suits, but I would recommend it if fit and comfort are your most important criteria.

Yeah, the problem with those fantastic "Slimming" suites is that they can't do much for my thighs! Suck me in, but I still look like I am walking around with tree trunks!

Well I'm not usually one to worry about what other people think I look like, but I have to admit I hate wearing a swim suit mainly because I know what I think of other people in them. But I did find a solution that works for me. I'm not huge but i have a pooch and thick thighs. We were on a trip a couple years ago and I i saw a cute young thing in something that I thought might work for a plus size gal. I bought a cute halter top tankini and mens board shorts. The long ones that are usually too your knees. Its so funny, when we go to the lake or pool I will always have someone tell me how cute my suit is. My 16 year old's friends think it looks cute too and I never feel like I have to hide out. Just an option to think about ladies.

Holy crap! I am sore!!

I'm not really concerned about bathing suit weather, what I'm concerned about is my weight in general! I just got back from a "woman visit" and weigh much more than I thought or would ever want to weigh!

My fiancee is an exercise science major and trains at the USI gym. He can workout there for free, I can't. This past weekend we used the Bob's Gym 5 day pass that was sent with the new phone books. I love it! They seem a little more expensive, but the one in Newburgh has an indoor pool - which I LOVE! I went Saturday and Sunday and plan on becoming a member. So far, it's kicking my butt though! I cannot walk today!

Where does everyone else work out??

heatherranae--I am glad you posted about Bob's Gym. I have been thinking of trying it out (Newburgh is fairly close to my home) after seeing the free trial. Do they have child-sitting? Any restrictions with the trial I should know? I worked out at Bob's Gym when I was attending USI because they didn't have the big activities center that they do now. This was at the "old" Bob's Gym out by St. Joe. God I think I'm starting to show my age!!!

my2boys:

There aren't any restrictions with the pass that I've come across. You can use any part of the facility at any time with the pass. I think they have classes, though, I'm not sure if those are included with the pass. Make sure you bring in the actual pass from the phone book though... they use it to keep record of your days. It seems to be kid friendly, I've seen quite a few youngins there. I haven't looked around that much, but last night I think I caught a glimpse of a child care room with children in there. I think they may have a cut-off time where children won't be cared for. I'll have to ask when I go in today. It is soooooo nice! They have small TVs at every station (you do need headphones to listen), and a very cool "drink station" where you can buy smoothies, mixed health drinks, etc. So far I love it! My pass runs out tomorrow so I'm pretty sure I will be joining.

Ok, I just signed up for Bob's Gym last night. Here's the scoop. It's $83/month for couples or $93/month for family. The family option allows your child (around 5 and up) to play in a game room *supervised* until about 8:00pm. The game room has fun arcade games including, video games, Wii, etc. If you have infants they do have a child care room that is $3.00 per visit (you may be able to get a package deal, but I'm not sure about that one). All-in-all, I'm pretty satisfied. Of course I kind of cringe ever time I hear or see the $93, but you do get a lot with it - pool, sauna, great cardio equipment with TVs, weight lifting equipment, basketball court, smoothie bar, child care options, use of a studio with exercise balls, hand held weights, etc. Of course they have classes, and personal trainers but those are offered for additional fees.

Heatherrenae--thanks for all that info. I am looking forward to checking it out when we get back from Florida (guess I probably should have done this prior to vacation but I'm now out of time). The $93 does seem steep, but as you said you get a lot for the money. I guess if you look at it as less than $25/week it isn't so bad. Maybe I'll see you there sometime.
