Scratches in DVDs

Why is it the scratches are never on the preview portion of the movie??? Anyone know how to buff out a scratch??? <img align="absmiddle" src="http://testcommunity.portspaces.com/FORUMS/Skins/Classic/Images/EmotIcons/BigGrin.gif" border="0" title="BigGrin">

I keep ours in a large CD case so that we can carry them from the house to the car if we have a trip. Also it saves space considering the amount of movies we have in our house total. But, every so often Thomas gets in it and takes them all out. So most of our movies get scratched at some point. GAH!

I feel your pain! I buff my cds and dvds with a soft cloth, like micro-fiber or a tshirt, starting in the middle and working my way out in a small, circular motion. If that doesn't work, then I believe that Joe's Records has a buffing machine. I think they charge $1 a disc. I've never done it, but I've heard about it.
