So what does everyone think about this? Have we really caused it, is it just natural earth cycles?

Now they are saying we are heading for an ice age. Makes my head hurt that scientists have nothing better to do but make these outragious claims to get everyone all riled up.

I guess I don't buy into it because we are not seeing any sort of consistancy in breaking records. Yes, I understand that the Ice Caps are melting and we now have the ability to watch them happen. What bothers me is that we can't see what happened 100 years ago, or 500 years ago to see how often they melt/freeze and cycle.

The world went through some drastic changes before anyone invented ways to distroy our environment. As a race it is terrible what we have done to the earth, and we need to clean it up, but can we really put a name on something that may very well be a natural earth cycle and then place blame?

I guess it rubs me the wrong way, Dinosaurs were not driving around in SUVs and using hairspray that caused the earth the do whatever it did to end them.

I don't believe that we, small tiny humans on this giant planet that's been around a couple of years, can cause climate to change. The Earth has it's own cycles and changes and I really don't believe there's anything we can do to cause it. There have been much warmer times recorded in history than now. However, I do believe in conserving and recycling. An interesting read on this topis is the prologue to Jurassic Park. It is very though provoking and is not written in a scientific report manner.
