Anybody sit back and enjoy natures primetime last night? As someone in our office put it yesterday "If it's gonna rain, at least let it storm to make it interesting!" And I couldn't agree more. My eldest was born during a lightening storm, and throughout that turbulent week the hospital we were at lost power at least twice due to other storms.

One thing we have found that gets my kids less afraid of natures fireworks is we sit down on our bed, and pull open the shades and dim the lights from all over the house. We don't encourage screaming during the flashes of lightening or thunder, but we do show them how to count between them to see how far away the strike was. They love storms now, where a couple of months ago they were pretty freaked out!

Anyone else like this weather? How do you get your kids involved?

I love storms. We have a covered balcony and if the wind is not too strong, I sit outside and watch.&nbsp; Skylar (5) gets scared at first and we just talk about and then she is usually ok.&nbsp; Alivia (19months) usually stands at the patio door and watches.&nbsp; If she sees a big lightning, she points out the window and says, "Wow!" It is really cute<img align="absmiddle" src="http://www.knoxmoms.com/forums/Skins/Classic/Images/EmotIcons/Smile.gif" border="0" title="Smile">
